Abstract

This study examines the link between a set of principles and values, customs and traditions that distinguish the Libyan society from its surroundings, and the relationship of these values and traditions to the Maliki school of thought, as it is a dominant doctrine for hundreds of years in this country, and on the assumption that the Maliki school is an influential religious factor in building societal culture. In Libya, the study dealt with a number of principles and customs that can be seen in the study community, and to show the aspect of their connection with the jurisprudential choices distinguished by the sect, and then rooting these choices from the honorable Sunnah of the Prophet.
