Abstract

The novel is one of the literary genres most attached to heritage, being one of the most prominent components of human culture that defines the identity of peoples and what has been inherited by generations and formed in their cultural awareness, especially the local folk heritage that distinguishes between cultures, and gives the novelist its specificity and identity. The research aims to investigate the effect of employing heritage in improving the art of the fictional text in Maaan's novel, how to narrate it and its penetration into the fabric of the novel, and to enrich its discourse delivered by the writer Abdel Hafeez Al-Abed () in a panoramic image that monitored the pictures of life in the village (Teganit). An artistic observation that kept it from being a mere transmission of the reality and history of the village at a certain period; Rather, he overthrew the past on the present and adapted the heritage to be a narrative that contributed to the construction of events, and the construction of the architecture of the text in a flowing language in which he mixed directness and encoding. Knowledge of the present and within a creative experience reflects a deep knowledge structure and is closely related to the culture of his society.
